Student Assessment: Passport System
The purpose of the program is to provide student assessment.
Students collect as many stamps as they want in their passport booklet by visiting corporate and higher education exhibit booths. Sections are provided for each of the growth industries of Pittsburgh that are the focus of High School Programs and Middle School Programs (biotechnology, nanotechnology, robotics, advanced materials processes, environmental technology and information technology). A tear sheet has the checklist to tabulate the completed tasks and validate the completion of the passport.

Did you know? PPG's Teslin® sheets are preferred substrata material for high-volume,
high-security documents - electronic passports. It is an ideal material because it's tamper-resistant and also tamper evident - you'll know if somebody tried to pull apart the layers! It helps protect the electronic chip and antenna because of its cushiony texture, and, it's durable enough to withstand the typical 10-year lifespan of a passport.
