Pittsburgh Regional Science And Engineering Fair had its beginnings at the Buhl Science Center in 1939. It has now grown to be the region's largest competition of research projects in the fields of science, mathematics and engineering for students in grades six through 12. The 2004 Fair will provide a venue for approximately 600 students from 25 counties in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia to highlight their scientific research and engineering projects as they compete for awards and recognition of their work. These students will be interacting with representatives from the region's scientific community, academia, professional associations and technology based businesses. We hope students make connections that nurture a continued interest and curiosity in science and technology and foster their growth as life long students with inventive and inquiring minds.
